Procedures to Follow in Case of an Accident

At Brand Car, the safety of our customers is a top priority. In the unfortunate event of an accident, please follow these steps carefully to ensure your safety and comply with legal and insurance requirements.


1. Ensure Safety First

  • Check for any injuries to yourself and others involved.
  • Ensure everyone is in a safe location, away from traffic.
  • Do not move the vehicle until it has been thoroughly documented.

2. Document the Scene

  • Take clear photos of the vehicle(s) involved in the accident from all angles.
  • Ensure the photos capture visible damage and the overall scene, including road conditions and any traffic signs.

3. Contact the Police

  • Call the local police to report the accident.
  • Obtain the official police report, as it will be required for any insurance claims.

4. Notify Brand Car Immediately

  • Contact Brand Car’s customer service team and inform them about the accident.
  • Follow any instructions provided by the company for further steps.

5. Gather Necessary Documents

  • Collect the following from all parties involved in the accident:
    • Driver’s license
    • Vehicle registration
    • Insurance policy details

6. Obtain the Official Accident Report

  • Ensure you receive the official accident report (also known as the “incident report”) from the authorities.
  • Without this document, the insurance company will not cover any damages.

7. Do Not Admit Fault

  • Avoid making any statements that could be interpreted as admitting fault, as this might affect the insurance process.

8. Contact Emergency Services (If Necessary)

  • In case of injuries or other emergencies, contact the relevant emergency services:
    • Ambulance: 112
    • Police: 155
    • Traffic Police: 154

9. Vehicle Towing and Repairs

  • If the vehicle is not drivable, Brand Car will arrange for towing services.
  • Repairs will be managed according to the terms of the rental agreement and insurance coverage.
